The fundamental objective of the Service Commission is to inform and involve each parishioner in service to one another and to the larger community. Special concerns must be given to meeting the human needs of people and to eliminate the socio-economic injustices experienced by the poor, the oppressed, the disadvantaged, the racial minorities, the aged and the youth.

The duties of Service Commission are to develop a parish information-action program; to establish and maintain liaison with the Diocesan Department of Ministry for Social Concerns; to identify social issues and human needs in the parish and community; to promote Service Commission objectives on the diocesan Pastoral Council and similar diocesan wide endeavors; and to encourage and facilitate coordination of efforts with similar organizations in other church denominations in the community.

Service Commission includes Salt and Light, Food Pantry, Senior Programs, Christmas Gift Collection/Giving Tree, Donut Ministry, Funeral Luncheons, Card Ministry, and Rides to Mass.
